The ICT Association of Uganda is a multi-stakeholder organization created by private citizens from Uganda, with the goal of offering professional guidance to people and organizations in the private sector and providing advisory services to government on policy-related issues. The primary objective of the Association is to widen the availability and advantages of using ICTs across all parts of Uganda through professionalism. To this end, the Association will organize and disseminate research and promote the formation of projects and policies related to the use and development of development informatics in Uganda. Development informatics refers to the appropriate design, localization, development, implementation, and application of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to meet Show more development goals. The Association will partner with top educational institutions such as Makerere University’s College of Computing and Information Sciences, among other ICT-related establishments, to assist research efforts and projects linked to development informatics in both public and private sector entities in Uganda. The ICT Association of Uganda strives to become the premier and biggest forum for ICT professionals, administrators, researchers, and policy makers to exchange their expertise and experiences on the technology, adoption, localization, management, and policy of development informatics in Uganda.
