Ecoplastile – Kampala, Uganda

Eco-friendly Products Kampala for businesses and individuals in Uganda.
Ecoplastile is a pioneering company that is revolutionizing access to affordable housing, insurance, and financial inclusion by utilizing plastic waste as a resource. Their Wasteinsure product is a mobile micro-insurance and financial inclusion product that provides health insurance, payments, and access to credit to small businesses and low-income populations. This is achieved by allowing them to pay for health insurance, bills, payments, and loans by using recyclable waste as a premium. The collected plastic is recycled into roofing tiles, which can drastically reduce the cost of building, and the excess plastic is sold to other recycling companies. The generated funds are then used to offer health insurance premiums as payments to households that opt into the scheme. Furthermore, users can also opt for cash payments, which are facilitated by digital and mobile applications.
