Open Gate Fm is a community Based Commercial Radio Station operating on frequency 103.2MHz. From its humble inception in march 2001-date,Opengate FM has grown to a level of leading FM Radio Station in the Eastern with an optimum coverage of over 20 districts of Eastern uganda which are ,Mbale,Manafwa,Siroko,Bududa,butaleja,Moroto,Amuria,Bukeadea,Soroti,kapchorwa,Bukwo,Western Kenya ,Tororo,Busia,Bugiri,jinja,pallisa,Bududa to mention but a few with a total footage radius of over 150km. Given the many dialects in Eastern Uganda ,our programs are designed to cut across a contemporary community of people by broadcasting in a number of languages particularly those well understood by numerous communities in Eastern part of Uganda. Our broadcast studios and offices are located at plot 58/60 Nkonkojeru Court road in the Heart of Mbale city and our programs are well multiplied and sent by microwave link for Transmission at our strategic and suitably chosen Wanale hill at the foots of Mountain Elgon just in the good vicinity of Mbale Town.Open Gate FM is a 24/7 broadcast station with programs targeting all contemporary communities both rural and urban covering all ages socially,economically,politically etc. our programs are demographically designed to suit our listeners of contemporary ages for entertainment,information and education.Variety of programs ranging from musicals such as oldies ,country and other genres. the community is all time informed about their society and the world at large through our well equipped news room on locally and internationally stories through various channels like our direct onsite field reporters ,internet,URN news agency and our affiliate partner V.O.A and others.The community is well posted with blended programs through the week and covering Agriculture/NAADS Health, Environment awareness ,civic education formal/informal,business and trade among others.Also Open gate has a diverse ,dynamic and commercial yet on regulatory guidance thus not limited commercially as long as is not outside the scope of the government media laws.We undertake programs sponsorship commercial spots and many other related electronic media practices.
