Background Physical Activity and Sports Governance Limited (PASGL) is a registered consultancy firm under Governance Systems International (GSI) in Uganda. Currently sports around the global transited from armature to professional, centuries ago mostly countries in the first and second world countries have taken sports industry very seriously and professional. Uganda as a third world, sports is still running under the 1964 National Council of Sports (NCS) Act, Cap 48 of Uganda as an armature oriented sector, because of the level at which the world of sports is moving at some games in Uganda are transiting from armature to professional. Our Vision We envisage “physical activity and sports sector to transit steadily from armature level to professional level and standards”. Show more Our Mission We exist to “provide all physical activity and sports professional services, sports marketing and promotion, sports administration and management, sports laws and regulations, sports human resource development, sports culture and tourism promotion, sports research and education”. Core Objectives 1. To market all categories of sports at both national and international level to private sector and government. 2. To help and guide national and international investors, private sector and government institutions interested in sports as a plat form. 3. To sensitize, mentor and empower sports athletes and other stakeholders to professional level. 4. To help in sports research through sports universities at national and international. 5. To handle and manage sports events, tournaments, leagues and any other activity like general assemblies, conventions, conferences, workshops, camps and meetings at all levels. 6. To help sports clubs, associations, federations and any other department in technical sports development, human resource/personnel, structuring and resource mobilization. 7. To help sports organs and stakeholders on sports legality (sports body constitution, sports project proposals, sports laws, sports policies, sports regulations). 8. To also technically help and guide government bodies and private investors on sports facility development and management. 9. To also help sports athletes, administrators in acquiring sports scholarships (full and half) at both national and internal university levels. 10.
